Tevez, Rooney And Ronaldo Are The Best Three Forward In The Premier League – Gary Neville

Former Manchester United defender has claimed that Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo are the best three forwards in the Premier League.

Neville stated in an interview with Sky Sports that the Manchester United 2007 – 08 season attacking trio is the best front he has ever seen in the Premier League and won’t be beaten by any competitor in the history.

“That front three was just breathtaking,” Neville said of his former teammates. “Not just because of the quality of the players but there was a real selfish, nasty horrible determination to those three.

“Ronaldo in a different way on the pitch, in that he wouldn’t go around hassling people, kicking people, harassing, hustling.

“He was immense in terms of his performance levels, but Rooney and Tevez they were street fighters – but with unbelievable ability.

“You talk about best front three in the Premier League, you’ll never beat those three for me.”

Neville in his statement added Liverpool’s blistering frontline of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in that, as well as Man City’s talented frontline of Aguero, Sterling and Sane.

In his statement;

“You can talk about Mane, Salah, Firmino, I love them to bits, and Sterling, Aguero and Sane at City, but you look at that front three of Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo, in their peak was out of this world.”

Gary Neville went further to blast for giving up on the club long before his sudden departure.

“What annoyed me about Tevez was that he downed tool in his second season, Neville said “Started sitting on the treatment bench, started coming out late for training. Started messing around.

“He was playing the club, and I couldn’t stand that.

“I understand he had circumstances but his people were in his ear all the time, he was so led by his people. It was always going to come to an end like it did.

Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez helped United to a Premier League and Champions League title in the 2008 league campaign, contributing 79 goals and 29 assists between them.

On the other end, Liverpool’s trio, Salah, Mane and Firmino provided 87 goals and 36 assists in the 2017 – 18 campaign, followed by 69 goals and 19 assists the following season.
